Community of Casteller Ring

The Communität Casteller Ring (CCR) is a religious order of women within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria . The head office is on the Schwanberg near Rödelsee near Würzburg . Until 2011, the community maintained a branch (“city station”) in the Augustinian monastery in Erfurt .

The community lives according to the Rule of Saint Benedict , the nuns pray the hourly prayer four times a day (Lauds, Sext, Vespers and Compline) in St. Michael's Church , three times a week Holy Communion services are celebrated. As part of the Schwanberg Spiritual Center , the sisters hold their own conferences , including on the festivities of the church year .

The community Casteller Ring maintains three guest houses: the Schwanberg Castle, the St. Michael Meditation House and the Jugendhof.

The community emerged in 1950 from the Bavarian Association of Christian Girl Scouts (BCP).
