The Compton Terrace referred two former Amphitheater in Phoenix , Arizona .

history

The first Compton Terrace amphitheater was built in the Legend City area of ​​Phoenix and was in use between 1979 and 1983. It had a seating capacity of 20,000 and was owned by Jess Nicks, the father of singer Stevie Nicks . The second structure, known as Compton Terrace, was an amphitheater with a capacity of 10,000 concertgoers in Chandler in the Phoenix area. It was built near Wild Horse Motorsports Park and opened in 1985. In 2010 it was closed and demolished.

In the amphitheatres, artists such as Eric Clapton , Morrissey , Eurythmics , Fleetwood Mac , Aerosmith , AC / DC , Phil Collins , Grateful Dead , Guns N 'Roses , Queen , Iron Maiden , Pat Benatar , Scorpions , Van Halen and Bon Jovi performed Depeche Mode on.
