The airline Congo Express (IATA: XY , ICAO EXY ) was a Congolese airline based in Lubumbashi . It was founded on February 1, 2010 as a subsidiary of the South African regional airline South African Express (49% share) and the Congolese investment company BizAfrika Congo .
On February 1, 2010, Congo Express started connections from Lubumbashi to Kinshasa and from Kinshasa to Mbuji-Mayi . In 2011, South African Express withdrew from this investment due to large losses. the airline then ceased operations.

As of February 25, 2010, the fleet comprised a Canadair Regional Jet Series 200 BER . This is provided and maintained by SA Express.
Incidents
On April 17, 2010, a Canadair Regional Jet Series 200 BER with the Congo Express livery, but in service with the South African Express at Windhoek Airport in Namibia with an undetectable nose wheel, made an emergency landing. In addition to minor property damage, there was no personal injury.
