Conrad Buchau
Conrad Buchau (* around 1600 in Dresden ; † July 2, 1657 there ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Conrad Buchau is the father of Abraham Conrad Buchau . He received training and participation in the Johann Böhme family sculpture in Schneeberg and in the Hans Walther family sculpture in Dresden. The civil rights of the city of Dresden were granted to him in 1622. With the help of family members and other sculptors, a kind of sculpture school in Buchau was created in Dresden with an area of activity beyond the Saxon state border. He was buried in the Frauenkirchhof in Dresden .
