The Conrad GmbH is a German model goods manufacturer based in central Franconia Kalchreuth . The company is internationally known for its range of models of commercial vehicles and construction machinery . Production takes place in the Röckenhof district of Kalchreuth and, to a lesser extent, in the Czech Republic . The models are sold worldwide, the main sales area is Western Europe .

The owner-managed family company was founded in 1956 by Ludwig Conrad. In 1966 the Gescha company, founded in Nuremberg in 1923, was taken over and since then has been producing their zinc diecast models and railway accessories under his own name. Model vehicles have been manufactured since 1971. In 1987 the son Günther Conrad took over the company.

The company offers die-cast zinc models of commercial vehicles from German brands such as MAN and Mercedes-Benz on a scale of 1:50 as well as industrial trucks from manufacturers such as Jungheinrich and Liebherr on a scale of 1:25 and 1:50. Few models are offered in 1:32, 1:35 and 1:87 scales.

From around 1980 until the 1990s, 1:43 scale models were also available, replicas of passenger cars and commercial vehicles from the Audi , Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen brands . Furthermore, a Mercedes-Benz passenger car in 1:66 scale.
