Constantia Industrieholding

The Constantia Industrieholding was a 1969 by Herbert Turnauer formed company.

In 1994 this holding, which had bought up many companies from different industries over the years, was split into two holdings with different focuses. Both successor holdings were transferred to the ownership of two private foundations founded in 1993/1994 by Herbert Turnauer and are therefore still “related” to each other as sister companies, although they are economically independent from each other. These two holdings and their main owners are:

• Constantia Industries (called Constantia-Iso until 2004), sales of 712 million euros with 4650 employees. It was the de facto successor to the previous industrial holding, with the exception of the packaging area. Therefore, active in various areas as a holding company for various wood and plastics processing companies. It is 60 percent owned by Constantia Packaging BV based in Vaassen in the Netherlands , which in turn belongs to a Turnau industrial foundation based in Liechtenstein .
• Constantia Packaging AG , sales around 1.06 billion euros with 6150 employees. Active in the manufacture of paper, cardboard and aluminum packaging materials; owned by Constantia Packaging BV based in Vaassen in the Netherlands, which in turn belongs to a Turnauer industrial foundation based in Liechtenstein. On October 12, 2009 65.79 percent was sold to the American investment company One Equity Partners (OEP), Constantia Packaging BV (CP-BV) holds 25 percent (OEP), the rest is split between free shareholders.
