NGC 5485 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Great Bear. It is around 90 million light years away. The Type Ia supernova SN 1982W was observed in this galaxy.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 14, 1789 .
