Constanze Giese

Constanze Giese (* 1966 ) is a German Roman Catholic moral theologian and university professor. She has been teaching as a professor of ethics and anthropology at the Catholic Foundation University in Munich since 2001 in the course of care management / care education.

Life

After training as a nurse (exam 1989), Constanze Giese worked in this profession in an intensive care unit (until 1990) and in acute psychiatry (until 1996). She studied Catholic theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University and philosophy at the School of Philosophy SJ in Munich 1990–1992 and took part in the 1992–1993 theological academic year in Jerusalem . She then continued her theology studies in Munich from 1993 to 1996, where she graduated with a degree in theology. This was followed by a doctoral degree in moral theology in Münster and Munich (there with Johannes Gründel ) from 1995–2001 , which she completed in 2001 with a doctorate in theology .

From 1996 to 2001 she worked as a consultant in adult education and as a lecturer in ethics in nursing. Since 2001, she has been a professor at the Catholic Foundation University of Applied Sciences in Munich, course nursing management / nursing education. From the winter semester 2007/2008 to the winter semester 2009 she held the position of dean in the nursing department, since the beginning of the winter semester 2010/2011 she has been the head of the degree program “Nursing dual”, and since 2012 the degree director for the master’s degree “Clinical Pastoral Care ".
