history
Conway was first settled in 1762 and named after Henry Seymour Conway . After its founding, Conway was known for keeping sheep and some industry, but mainly agriculture. Since then it has remained a small agricultural community.

Conway is located in central Franklin County, Massachusetts. The municipal area includes 98.1 km², of which 0.47% is covered by water. The parish is located 51 km north-northwest of Springfield and 167 km west-northwest of Boston .
