Coolidge is an American city in Arizona in Pinal County . It has about 8154 inhabitants (as of 2005) on an area of 13.0 km².
Coolidge, which received city rights in 1945, was named after the 30th US President Calvin Coolidge . In the city is the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument , which was the first to be listed by the United States in 1892. The place was already a permanent settlement of the Hohokam culture around the year 1200 .
Arizona State Routes 87 and 287 run through Coolidge .
