Cor Mutsers

Cor Mutsers (born April 21, 1957 ) is a Dutch guitarist.

Mutsers started playing guitar at the age of eight. From 1976 to 1981 he studied classical guitar at the Maastricht Conservatory. From 1978 to 1981 he played guitar with Double Grant with Frank Baijens (keyboards). Ruurd Boes (guitar, leads vocals), Toon Segers (bass), Jan Voermans (drums). He then played with Ton Engels and René Creemers in the band Blowbeat . Through Ruud Hermans he came to country and bluegrass music . He also worked with Gé Reinders and Gerard van Maasakkers .

From 1992 to 1995 he studied jazz and improvisation music at the Tilburg Conservatory. He toured with Harry Sacksioni and Mathilde Santing and played bluegrass with Liz Meyer . With Ilse DeLange he recorded the album Dear John . He has also played with Marcel de Groot and recorded an album. Further CDs were made with cabaret artist Toon Hermans and with Patrick van Gerven . In 2006 he accompanied José Carreras on the album Energia .

He has been working with Lenny Kuhr since 2002, and with Jennemieke Snijders since 2006 .
