The Corbet Peak is a 4822 m high mountain peak in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 1.4 km east of Mount Vinson on the summit plateau of the Vinson massif in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2006 after the American mountaineer Barry Corbet (1936-2004), participant in the American Antarctic Mountaineering Expedition (1966-1967), in which the first ascent of the Vinson massif and other high mountains in the Sentinel Range succeeded.
