Cordillera Muñecas
The Cordillera Muñecas is a mountain range in the South American landlocked state of Bolivia .
The Cordillera Muñecas extends on the edge of the Bolivian Altiplano between the cities of Huarina and Puerto Acosta on the southeastern edge of Lake Titicaca . The Cordillera is located in the department of La Paz and has a length of 100 km and an average width of 15 to 20 kilometers. It reaches a height of barely more than 4600 m and is only glaciated in very few places.
The Cordillera is part of the South American Cordillera Central and extends between Lake Titicaca and the parallel Cordillera Real . It is lower than the Cordillera Real and hardly populated.
To the west of the high mountain ridge , the national road Ruta 16 runs from Huarina via Escoma to Pumazani . As the only important pass road from Achacachi , the road to Sorata crosses the mountain range with a pass height of 4270 m, it then continues to Mapiri and Guanay in the Bolivian lowlands.
