Puerto Acosta is a town in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Puerto Acosta is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Puerto Acosta and the administrative seat of the province Eliodoro Camacho , and is located on the right bank of the Río Huaycho, which flows into Lake Titicaca at Villapuni . The village is located at an altitude of 3841  m on the northeastern bank of Lake Titicaca, fifteen kilometers southeast of Huyacollo , which lies on the border with Peru .
