Corinne Erhel (born February 3, 1967 in Quimper , Bretagne ; † May 5, 2017 in Saint-Brieuc , Bretagne) was a French politician . She has been a member of the National Assembly since 2007 .

Life

Corinne Erhel graduated from the Institut des hautes études de droit rural et d'économie agricole . In 1997 she became parliamentary assistant to MP Alain Gouriou , which she remained until the end of his mandate in 2007. In 2004 she moved to the Regional Council of Brittany for the Parti socialiste . In the 2007 parliamentary elections , she entered the fifth constituency of the Côtes-d'Armor department and, after her election, replaced Gouriou, for whom she had previously worked, as MP. In 2012 she was re-elected.

At an election rally of the En Marche movement on May 5, 2017, Erhel suffered a heart attack while performing and collapsed. A short time later, she was pronounced dead in the Saint-Brieuc hospital .
