Corneille Max
Corneille Max (born May 10, 1875 in Munich , † February 22, 1924 there ) was a German portrait and landscape painter and etcher .
Life
Max was a student of Gabriel von Hackl and Anton Ažbe . His father Gabriel von Max and his brother Colombo Max were also artistically active. Corneille Max was a member of the German Association of Artists .
In 1905 he married Wilhelmine "Stora" (1877–1943), daughter of the architect and artist Lorenz Gedon . During the First World War , Max suffers a war gas injury, the consequences of which he died in 1924 at the age of 48. His grave is in the Old Munich South Cemetery .
