Cornelia Behm

Cornelia Behm (born September 20, 1951 in Kleinmachnow ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

After attending the private stove school in Kleinmachnow, Cornelia Behm attended the Hermann von Helmholtz Extended High School (EOS) in Potsdam from 1966 to 1970 and completed vocational training as a skilled worker as a company and transport railroader parallel to her Abitur . She then attended a technical school , which she left in 1972 as an agricultural technical assistant (LTA) for plant protection. She then worked as an LTA at the Institute for Plant Protection Research in Kleinmachnow. In 1978 she moved to the district hygiene institute and inspection in Potsdam and studied part-time at the Humboldt University in Berlin . After 1984 her studies as a graduate-Agricultural engineer, she worked as a research assistant at the district hygiene inspection in Potsdam until 1990.

From 1991 to 1996 Cornelia Behm was an appraiser at TÜV Umwelt Berlin Brandenburg GmbH and then from 1997 to 2002 clerk in the Ministry for Environment and Agriculture of the State of Brandenburg .

Cornelia Behm is married, has two children and lives in Kleinmachnow.

Political party

After having been involved in church groups for many years, Cornelia Behm became a member of Democracy Now in 1989 . She has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1993 and was a member of the Green District Board of Potsdam-Mittelmark from 2000 to 2002 .

In 2001, Cornelia Behm achieved a result of 20.45% of the votes in Kleinmachnow as candidate for mayor of the “citizens' group” (Alliance Greens, “Citizens for Good Quality of Life in Kleinmachnow” and FDP ).

MPs

From 1990 to 2002, Cornelia Behm was a member of the community council of Kleinmachnow.

From 2002 to 2013 she was a member of the German Bundestag . Here she was spokeswoman for the Bundestag parliamentary group Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen for rural development and forest policy.

Cornelia Behm has always entered the Bundestag via the Brandenburg state list. For the general election in 2013 Behm did not occur again.
