Cornelia Eichner

Cornelia Eichner (born April 16, 1972 in Zwickau ) is a German writer , educationalist and politician ( DIE LINKE ).

Eichner studied education, literature, philosophy and journalism in Hagen , Zwickau and Mittweida . Her writing was shaped by the inner-German turnaround , but also by trips to France, southern Spain, Denmark and Eastern Europe. Her work in the areas of poetry , prose and non-fiction focuses on emotional and interpersonal issues. With her children's book The Collector , she initiated media educational projects under the aspect of dealing with foreigners, with foreign people, referring to the scapegoat syndrome named by Christa Wolf .

Eichner is one of the initiators of the Zwickau Literature Days .

As state spokeswoman for the German Women's Ring and in the Saxon Women 's Forum, Eichner was active in women 's politics and advocated the rehabilitation of victims of sexual violence. She lives in Dresden with two daughters .

Political

Eichner joined the PDS in 2006 and since merging with the WASG in 2007 has been a member of Die Linke.

On December 14, 2013, she was elected as an assessor on the city council at the Left Dresden city party.

Eichner was a successful candidate for constituency 12 in the 2014 local elections. She entered the Dresden city council for her party and was a member of it until 2019.

There she was a member of the Education Committee, Health Committee and Culture Committee.
