Cornelia Zanger

Cornelia Zanger , nee Martin , (born July 16, 1953 in Großenhain in Saxony ) is Professor of Marketing and Commercial Management at the TU Chemnitz .

Life

Zanger studied business administration at the TU Dresden from 1972 to 1976 . Zanger then did his doctorate and habilitation until 1984 at the same university in the field of R&D management . Then Zanger worked in the sales department of a software company until 1990 . In 1990 she became a research assistant at the TU Dresden, then until 1991 visiting professor for innovation management at the University of Kiel . From 1992 to 1994 she taught as a professor for general business administration at RWTH Aachen University and since 1994 Cornelia Zanger has been professor for marketing and commercial management at TU Chemnitz . In 1998 she turned down an offer from the University of Hamburg to the Chair of Commerce and Marketing.

At the TU Chemnitz, Zanger is involved in academic self-administration . So she belonged u. a. to the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Economics and served as Dean of the Faculty until September 30, 2003 . During the first term of office of Klaus-Jürgen Matthes' rectorate , she was Vice-Rector for Teaching and Studies from 2003 to 2006 and has been Vice-Rector for Marketing and International Relations since October 1, 2006. After Arnold van Zyl's election as the new rector on October 18, 2011 and the associated end of Matthes' term of office, Zanger took over the decay of the rectorate until the newly elected rector was appointed by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art .

Zanger is married and has twins.
