Cornelis Geelvinck (* 1621 in Amsterdam ; † 1689 ibid) became successful in politics after the end of the regime and the subsequent murder of the brothers Johan and Cornelis de Witt . In 1673, 1675, 1684, 1688 and 1689 Cornelis Geelvinck was named as the ruling mayor of Amsterdam .
