Cornelis de Wolf

Cornelis de Wolf (* 1880 ; † 1935 ) was a Dutch organist , composer and music teacher .

Life

De Wolf studied organ with Jean-Baptiste de Pauw and composition with Bernard Zweers . In 1901 he was the first organist to be awarded the Prix ​​d'excellence . He was initially employed as an organist in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel , and from 1918 at the Eusebiuskerk in Arnhem . In 1925 he became principal teacher for organ at the Amsterdam Conservatory and in 1932 at the Conservatory in The Hague . His students included Meindest Boekel , Piet van Egmond , Adriaan Schuurman and George Stam .
