Cornelius Engemann
Cornelius Engemann (born August 31, 1994 in Essen ) is a German actor .
Life
Cornelius Engemann learned acting in his youth. At a primary school in Essen and later at a grammar school, he made his first acquaintance with the theater . From January 2014 to December 2017 he completed his acting studies at the Arturo Drama School in Cologne .
During his studies, Engemann played a wide variety of roles, from his own productions to modern comedies and classics. In 2017 he appeared at Arturo Theater as Oberon / Theseus in the Shakespeare classic A Midsummer Night's Dream . During his studies he made a guest appearance at the Schauspiel Köln .
In the summer of 2017, Cornelius Engemann got an engagement at the Scherenburg Festival in Gemünden am Main . There he played the robber Yaris in a stage version by Ronja the robber 's daughter (based on Astrid Lindgren ) and the dowry hunter and rival Rolf in Kohlhiesel's daughters .
In 2018 he played King Charles VII in the Schiller drama The Maiden of Orleans at the Orangerie Theater in Cologne . At the Chamber Opera Cologne he played in the anniversary production Hello, Dolly! (Premiere: May 2018), with which the Cologne Chamber Opera celebrated its 20th anniversary, Ermengarde's fiancé Ambrose Kemper.
Since the 2019/20 season, Cornelius Engemann has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Das-Da-Theater in Aachen, where he appears in several productions. At the season opening 2019/20 he was Mr. Mooney a representative of the "head-shaking ignorant [n]" normal [n] "society in the play Rain Man by Dan Gordon, based on the movie of the same name with Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise . In the family play Ben and Becca , he plays the main male role of Ben in the 2019/20 season. He is also part of the cast of Tom Hirtz's stage adaptation of the novel " Die Wolke " by Gudrun Pausewang .
He also worked in small roles in various TV productions. Engemann lives in Cologne.
