Coupe du Faso

The Coupe du Faso is the national soccer cup competition in the West African state of Burkina Faso ( Upper Volta until 1984 ), organized by the Federation Burkinabè de Football .

The first winner after independence in 1960 was Racing Club Bobo-Dioulasso , the current title holder is ASFA-Yennenga Ouagadougou . All clubs are eligible to participate, regardless of whether they are members of the association. 32 qualified teams take part every year.

After only two cup winners were determined between 1977 and 1986, the creation of the Coupe du Faso was decided in March 1987 .
