history
The first hotel of this brand opened in 1983. There are around 1000 hotels of this brand worldwide, located in 46 countries around the world, but mostly in the United States .
The Courtyard by Marriott concept is primarily geared towards the needs of business travelers. The rooms are therefore mostly equipped with work tables, sofas and internet access.
Most of the hotels in this chain have a restaurant and a so-called “24-hour minimart”, a point of sale where travel essentials, snacks and drinks can be bought around the clock.
