Since the train is powered by a power connection in the middle of the car, the train also belongs to the powered coasters .

description

Route and ride

The track is located on the site of the former Intamin-Racing-Looper Cop Car Chase in the themed area Santa Monica Pier. At the end of the pier is the Stormy Cruise, a comparatively small version of a Disk'O Coaster. The large train is 15 meters high and 82 meters long and runs at a speed of 70 km / h .

On the one hand, the disc-shaped carriage moves along the track and back again. The car goes down at the beginning and then drives over a large wave and goes up again at the bottom until the car turns again. On the other hand, the disc-shaped carriage rotates around its own axis. The structure creates a mixture of thrills and a smooth ride and short moments of weightlessness ( airtime ) should take place. In the end, the passengers have the feeling of being thrown outwards.

Carts and safety precautions

The minimum height to enter the ride is 120 cm with an escort and 130 cm without an escort. The ride is not suitable for wheelchair users and pregnant women. The passengers sit on jet ski- like seats on the edge of the window. The viewing direction is directed outwards. A back bar should ensure safety while driving. A total of up to 40 people fit on the pane.

Trivia

On particularly warm days, the left end of the Crazy Surfer is cooled. For this purpose, the two hoses are at the upper end to the left and right of the buffers.
