Bandit [ ˈbændɪt ], until 2004 Wild Wild West , is a wooden roller coaster manufactured by Roller Coaster Corporation of America and is located in Movie Park Germany ( Bottrop-Kirchhellen , North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany ).

At that time, Bandit was the only wooden roller coaster in Germany and is also known as the first "modern" wooden roller coaster in Germany. It was opened in 1999 as Wild Wild West . After StarParks took over Warner Bros. Movie World Germany in 2004 , it has been operating under the name Bandit since 2005 . In the 2009 season, Bandit was out of service for a long time due to technical problems, but has been running again since the start of the 2010 season.

At the end of May 2013, Bandit was closed again because the driving behavior no longer met the desired requirements of the park. The railway has been in operation again since August 16, 2013.

journey

Bandit was built in the cyclone style. Cyclone roller coasters are rides that are reminiscent of the Cyclone in the US amusement park Lunapark on Coney Island , Brooklyn ( New York ). The run is almost a one-on-one copy of the Psyclone roller coaster, opened in 1991 at Six Flags Magic Mountain , California.

Trains

When the roller coaster opened as Wild Wild West in 1999 , its trains were from Intamin . In 2001 they were replaced by Premier Rides trains. Bandit owns two trains with five cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car.
