The Credit River ( French Rivière Credit ) is a tributary of Lake Ontario in the Canadian province of Ontario .

The Credit River has its origin in the Orangeville Reservoir at Orangeville near the Niagara layer . The Credit River leaves the reservoir in an easterly direction. The Nottawasaga River , flowing north to Lake Huron , forms a second outflow of the reservoir.

The Credit River flows through the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park and takes the Little Credit River from the left. It passes the cities of Caledon , Halton Hills and Mississauga . Finally, the Credit River flows into the western end of Lake Ontario at Port Credit . The Credit River has a length of about 90 km.
