Creditsafe Group
The Creditsafe Group is a privately owned exploiting Dende, multinational credit agency , offering online credit ratings of companies and credit reports. The company, which was founded in 1997, has grown steadily and now has 23 offices on the continents of Europe, North America and Asia and claims to be the most widely used provider of company information worldwide. Creditsafe employs over 1,200 people and, according to its own information, counts more than 200,000 companies among its customers.
history
Creditsafe was founded in Oslo , Norway in 1997 with the idea of using the then emerging technology of the Internet to provide corporate information to small and medium-sized businesses by selling the business information primarily through telephone acquisition and the Internet.
After starting out in Norway, Creditsafe set up an office in Gothenburg , Sweden in 1998 before moving to the UK in 2000. In 2002, Creditsafe relocated its UK sales operations to Caerphilly in South Wales . In 2006 Creditsafe France was opened in Roubaix near Lille . Further branches were opened in Dublin (Ireland) in 2007 and in The Hague (Netherlands) in 2008 , followed by Berlin (Germany) in 2010, Brussels (Belgium) in 2011 and Turin in Italy in 2013. With the establishment Creditsafe United States in Allentown , Pennsylvania opened its first office outside of Europe in 2012.
With the opening of a new office in Tempe , Arizona , Creditsafe has continuously expanded its presence in the US since its inception.
In September 2006, Creditsafe established a shared service center in Cardiff Bay , Wales , which has now grown into a center for supporting sales activities around the world. In September 2016, Creditsafe set up its own branch in Japan. Creditsafe Japan has offices in Fukuoka and Tokyo
Current status
In every country in which Creditsafe operates, the company has a sales, data and customer service department. Customers are mainly looked after online and by telephone; supplemented by a personal on-site service. Creditsafe employs over 1,200 people in its 23 offices on 3 continents and thus supplies slightly more than 500,000 users. Creditsafe claims to be the most widely used business information provider in the world. In 2020, reports are available from over 365 million companies in 160 countries.
Products and services
The Creditsafe Group offers global business information. The core business are thereby provided online reports on the creditworthiness of companies. The data for creating the report come from public registers, such as the commercial register or the Federal Gazette, and private organizations that are validated, assessed and evaluated. The evaluation and compact preparation of the information is calculated after the validation of the data with the help of a scoring algorithm with strict statistical methods. In all of its reports, Creditsafe provides various information for checking the creditworthiness of a company, which is consolidated in a creditworthiness index and outputs a suggested credit limit. In addition, a so-called default probability of the company is given. This value is intended to predict the probability of bankruptcy in the next 12 months. According to our own statements, the forecast has occurred in 70% of bankruptcies in recent years.
Creditsafe reports are accessed online by most customers through the Creditsafe platform. The company also offers API interfaces with which customers can integrate company data into their CRM and ERP systems. The company offers API interfaces for the most common systems as an integration solution.
In its reports, Creditsafe links the data from the various countries and thus tries to provide complete international details, such as group structure or management appointments about companies.
