Creme de la Creme was a German hip-hop band.

history

Creme de la Creme was created in 1997 and consisted of the Cologne trio Professor Te (Stefan Teubler), DJ Dr. Chris and FutureRock (Michael Rick), who had also produced Die Fantastischen Vier and Gentleman . The group became known with the EP Please hau mich nicht , released in 1997 , which was directed against Moses P. and whose sale had to be stopped after the first edition. The background was that Moses Pelham broke Stefan Raab 's nose with a headbutt during an appearance at the 1997 Echo Awards , because he had previously made fun of him on his programs. The cover photo featured rapper Gianni, who was loosely associated with Die Firma and had a certain resemblance to Pelham.

The band celebrated their greatest success with the single Last Night in 1998. The song reached number 71 in the German single charts.

The band released their only album, Porno Funk , in 1999. Gianni, Torch and Die Firma were among the guests . It remained the group's only album.

style

Creme de la Creme mixed different styles in their hip-hop, including easy listening , jazz , rock , electro-pop , beat and funk .
