Crenshaw is a district in the region South Los Angeles in Los Angeles . The district is located southwest of downtown Los Angeles and got its name from Crenshaw Boulevard .
geography
Crenshaw is bounded to the east by Chesterfield Square , to the south by Hyde Park , to the west by View Park-Windsor Hills and to the north by Leimert Park . The district is roughly bounded by Van Ness Avenue and Arlington Avenue in the east, Vernon Avenue in the north, Los Angeles in the west and `` Slauson Avenue '' in the south.
