Cris Cosmo (civil: Christian Gingerich ; born February 17, 1978 in Bretten ) is a German musician.
Life
Cris Cosmo was a teenager with his band NTS and as a street musician. In Chile he got his stage name "Cris Cosmo". After initial successes with his band NTS, the Echo nomination in 2002 and 50,000 units of the single Ich und Du sold, Cris Cosmo developed his style in Berlin and at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim: German and Latin American texts, the acoustic guitar as a supporting element and a mix of reggae , Latin American rhythms and club-like beats.
With the single Herzschlag , Cosmo took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest in Berlin for the state of Hesse on September 28, 2012 and took 12th place.
In 2017 and 2019 Cris Cosmo was nominated for the German Songwriting Award.
