CrispyRob (born September 2, 1993 in Aachen ; real name: Robert Brosowski ) is a German YouTuber , web video producer and author of cookbooks .

Life

CrispyRob was born the son of Tajik refugees and grew up bilingual . During a break dance class he met Julien Bam and was inspired by his passion for film and photography. He then founded a film production company and became part of the Bam crew .

He interrupted his studies in communication design for a YouTube career. He has been running his own channel since April 2015. Because of his love for cheese, he is also called Cheesy Rob . In November 2015, his YouTube channel reached 100,000 subscribers. In 2019, the channel had over 1.9 million subscribers (as of May 2020) . The videos are (travel) vlogs, challenges, short films, tests or reviews, skits, pranks and cooking videos. Based on his cooking videos, he published a recipe book in 2018 by Verlag Fischer Kinder- und Jugendbuch , which rose to number 1 on the Börsenblatt bestseller list for advice and was printed in four editions by 2019. A second recipe book followed in 2019.

In 2020, Brosowski made a guest appearance as an influencer in the German Netflix series Biohackers .
