Karl Friedrich von Vittinghoff called Schell (* 1751 ; † September 28, 1819 ) was a subdeacon and canon in Hildesheim, Münster and Osnabrück.

Life

Origin and family

Karl Friedrich von Vittinghoff called Schell came from the Westphalian noble family von Vittinghoff . The rungs of the family held high offices in church, military and administration. From 1456 until the secularization in 1803 , the barons of Vittinghoff put the hereditary droids in the Essen monastery . Karl Friedrich was the son of Hermann Arnold von Vittinghoff called Schell and his wife Maria Benigna von Galen zu Ermelinghof, daughter of Christoph Bernhard von Galen zu Ermelinghof and Anna Maria von Falkenstein. His brother Clemens August, * 1746, was married to Maria Theresia von Merveldt . His brother Franz Arnold was canon in Paderborn.

Act

As a 24-year-old was Karl Friedrich canon in Hildesheim and received in 1789 in Münster the Dompräbende the deceased canons Friedrich Karl Von Furstenberg. In 1798 the subdeacon also became canon in Osnabrück .
