Cristal Global is the world's second largest producer of titanium dioxide and the largest producer of titanium chemicals, based in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia . Cristal Global was created through the merger of the Saudi National Titanium Dioxide Company Ltd. and Millennium Chemicals . In 2008, the Australian International Titanium Powder (ITP) was taken over. The company is 79% owned by the state-owned National Industrialization Company (TASNEE).

The titanium dioxide is produced using both the chloride and the sulphate process. With the takeover of ITP, Cristal Global has the rights to the Armstrong process for the production of pure titanium, which is progressive compared to the Kroll process .

In April 2019, the US competitor Tronox completed the takeover of Cristal Global. With this transaction, Tronox became the world leader in titanium dioxide.
