Cristián Contreras Villarroel (born April 24, 1959 in Santiago de Chile ) is Bishop of Melipilla .

Life

The Archbishop of Santiago de Chile , Juan Francisco Fresno Larraín , ordained him a priest on December 5, 1984 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Girba and auxiliary bishop in Santiago de Chile on April 25, 2003 . He was ordained episcopal on June 21 of the same year by the Archbishop of Santiago de Chile, Cardinal Francisco Javier Errázuriz Ossa ; Co- consecrators were Sergio Valech Aldunate , auxiliary bishop emeritus in Santiago de Chile, and Carlos González Cruchaga , bishop emeritus of Talca .

On March 7, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Melipilla .
