Cristian Rafael Mora Medrano (born August 26, 1979 in Vinces , Los Ríos Province ) is an Ecuadorian football goalkeeper .
Career
After Mora constantly switched between different Ecuadorian first and second division clubs at the beginning of his career, he joined the second division Macará in 2003 . In his first year there one rose to the first division, but the immediate relegation followed. Mora made the leap to the top club LDU Quito as the new goalkeeper. In his first season he and his team won the Apertura championship (there were two champions this year). Also in 2007 his team became Ecuadorian champions. For the 2008 season Mora moved to CD El Nacional , the main city rivals of Liga. In 2010 he played for Universidad Católica del Ecuador .
As the goalkeeper of the champions, Cristian Mora also came into the national coach's field of vision. On June 11, 2005, he made his debut for the Ecuadorian national team in a friendly against Italy . After Edwin Villafuerte had stood in the goal of the national team in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany , Mora was given preference at the World Cup and stood between the posts at all four games in Ecuador. Also at the Copa America 2007 he was in the squad of Ecuador and played the first two preliminary round matches, in the third Marcelo Elizaga was in goal. He has not played an international match since then.
