Cristino Seriche Malabo Bioko (* 1940 ?) Was Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea from 1982 to 1992 .

Political career

He belongs to the minority of the Bubi, who mainly live on the island of Bioko . Like the future President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo , he attended the Zaragoza Military Academy until 1964 . In 1979 he was involved in Obiang Nguema's coup against his uncle Francisco Macías Nguema .

After the introduction of the post of prime minister, which was abolished with independence in 1968, under a new constitution, he took over this position on April 14, 1982 under President Obiang Nguema. Before that he was Minister for Public Works, Urban Development and Transport. With power in the hands of the president, his influence was limited. After the founding of the unity party Partido Democrático de Guinea Ecuatorial (PDGE) by the President in 1987, he joined it like all politicians in the country. His term of office ended on March 4, 1992.

At the end of 2004 he founded the opposition party VDDC, which aims to replace Obiang Nguema.
