Francisco Pascual Obama Asue

Francisco Pascual Eyugue Obama Asue is an equatorial Guinean politician of the Partido Democrático de Guinea Ecuatorial (PDGE).

Life

Obama Asue was appointed Minister for Youth and Sport (Ministro de Juventud y Deportes) in 1996 by Prime Minister Ángel Serafín Seriche Dougan in his cabinet. As part of a cabinet reshuffle, he took over the post of Minister for Public Works and Urban Affairs (Ministro de Obras Públicas y Urbanismo) in 1998 , which he held until 1999.

On June 23, 2016, he succeeded Vicente Ehate Tomi as Prime Minister (Primer Ministro del Gobierno) and at the same time assumed responsibility for coordinating the administration. His cabinet consists of three vice prime ministers, 31 ministers, 22 deputy ministers and deputy ministers as well as a further 23 state secretaries.
