The Crookwell River is a small river in the Australian state of New South Wales .
It rises south of Crookwell in the highlands of New South Wales, a southern branch of the Great Dividing Range . It first flows north through the town of Crookwell and then turns its course to the northwest, where it joins the Lachlan River .
