Crossfade is an American post-grunge - and hard rock - band from Columbia (South Carolina) .
history
The band was founded in 1999 by guitarist and singer Ed Sloan, bassist Mitch James and drummer Brian Geiger as a trio under the name The Nothing . Later the band was also known as Sugardaddy Superstar before the name was changed to Crossfade in 2002 . That year DJ and backing vocalist Tony Byroads also joined the band. Crossfade attracted the interest of Los Angeles , California A&R Company Taxi, which enabled them to sign a record deal with Columbia Records . The first self-titled album was released in the US on April 13, 2004. Crossfade announced on their homepage that their third album We all Bleed will be released in spring 2011.
