Crucified Barbara was a female-cast Swedish hard rock band. It was founded in Stockholm in 1998 .
history
Crucified Barbara began in 1998 as a punk rock band of four Swedish musicians with the pseudonyms Ida Evileye (bass), Klara Force (guitar), Nicki Wicked (drums) and Joey Nine (vocals), but quickly changed their style to Heavy metal . The first demo appeared after guitarist Mia Madcrap (now Mia Coldheart), Fuck You, Motherfucker, and in 2003 another demo.
In 2003 the band signed a contract with GMR Music Group. Shortly thereafter, the singer Joey Nine left the band, Mia Coldheart also took over the vocals. Their first single Losing the Game with a cover version of the song Killed by Death by Motörhead was released on December 8, 2005 and reached position 8 in the Swedish charts. Their debut album In Distortion We Trust was released in Sweden on January 19, 2005 and is now available in several countries (England, France, Germany, Benelux). In the summer of 2006 the band performed at a number of festivals including the Sweden Rock , Rock Hard Festival and Masters of Rock, and in the fall the band accompanied Motörhead in Australia .
In 2008 the band re-recorded pieces for a new album, working with Jocke Skog of Clawfinger and the Backyard Babies . The first single from the new album was released in 2008 under the name Sex Action . The album 'Til Death Do Us Party has been available in Scandinavia since February 11, 2009 and in the rest of Europe since February 27.
In 2010 the group performed at Wacken Open Air , 2011 at Hellfest (France) and 2014 at Summer Breeze .
In 2016 the band announced that they were breaking up because they no longer felt the need to make music together.
