The Crystal Esprit is a small cruise ship operated by Crystal Cruises .

history

The ship was built in 1988 by the Flender shipyard in Lübeck and delivered to NAVTOL in 1989 as Lady Diana . The ship was launched for financial reasons. In December 1991, Frontier Cruise Line bought the ship and set it as Aurora I a. In 1994 Star Cruises took over the ship and used it as the MegaStar Taurus . Until 2008 the ship drove u. a. for Genting World as MegaStar Taurus . In November 2008 the ship was launched.

After the parent company Star Cruises, Genting Hong Kong , 2015 Crystal Cruises took over the ship for Crystal Cruises got going and was on 20 December 2015 in Mahé ( Seychelles ) in Crystal Esprit renamed. From April 3rd to April 22nd, 2016, the ship was extensively modernized and renovated. The ship has a glass submarine.

On February 17, 2017, the Crystal Esprit rescued 12 people from a defective catamaran.

The ship has a sister ship, The Taipan , which sails for Star Cruises .
