Csaba Hámori

Csaba Hámori (born November 22, 1948 in Budakeszi , Pest County ) is a former Hungarian politician of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party MSZMP (Magyar Szocialista Munkáspárt) and the Hungarian Socialist Party MSZP (Magyar Szocialista Párt) , who was first secretary between 1984 and 1988 of the Communist Youth Association KISZ. Hámori, son of a family of intellectuals, began after the visit of the Attila József - Gymnasium in Budapest in 1967 to study chemistry at the Technical University of Budapest BME (Budapesti Műszaki Egyetem) , graduating in 1973 with a diploma. He then worked until 1980 as an assistant professor for thermal energy and thermal theory at the Department of Energy at BME.

At the same time, Hámori, who joined the MSZMP in 1970, began his political career at the KISZ (Magyar Kommunista Ifjúsági Szövetség) , the youth association of the MSZMP, initially between 1973 and 1976 as a member of the youth committee of the KISZ at the BME, of which he was secretary 1975 to 1976 was. In June 1977 he became First Secretary of the KISZ in Budapest and held this position until February 1980. After the dissolution of the MSZMP, Márothy joined the Hungarian Socialist Party MSZP, which was founded on October 6, 1989, and was elected to its national executive committee in May 1990. At the same time he also joined the parliamentary group of the MSZP and was last from 1990 to 1994 representative of the constituency Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok in parliament.
