Ctenidium (from gr. Ctena 'comb') is a genus of moss from the order of the Hypnales .
features
The stems of the gametophytes are very regularly pinnate-like to feather-like. The leaves are crescent-shaped, one-sided or almost straight. They are hollow and flat. Stem leaves and branch leaves are designed differently: Stem leaves have a heart-shaped base and a long tip. The leaf wing cells are differentiated: the rib is short and double or absent, the lamina cells are elongated (prosenchymatic). The branch leaves are narrower.
The seta is smooth to warty and rough. The capsule is inclined to horizontal.

The species Ctenidium procerrimum , which was previously included in this genus, has recently been added to the genus Hypnum as Hypnum procerrimum .
