Curt Prickler (born February 25, 1885 in Tilsit ; † October 6, 1952 in Wolfratshausen ) was a German film producer , production and line manager.

Life

Born in East Prussia , he had received an apprenticeship as an import / export businessman and, through this detour, joined the film production company PAGU at the age of 28, which hired him on July 15, 1913. A good year later, on August 3, 1914, Prickler was drafted. He served the entire four years of the war.

On February 1, 1919, he returned to the film industry. Curt Prickler gradually worked his way up through the recording, production and production management to become an independent producer. At the beginning of the 1930s he founded the short-lived Prickler-Film, and in 1934 Minerva-Tonfilm GmbH, which, at Goebbels' pressure, was dissolved and nationalized at the end of 1938. Prickler then moved to Munich Bavaria on November 15, 1938 as a production or production group leader .

Shortly before his death - he died as a result of a car accident - Curt Prickler reestablished Minerva production, but was only able to bring out one film.
