Curt Richard Unger (born May 3, 1888 in Neustädtel ; † June 10, 1955 in Schneeberg ) was a German editor, local politician and local researcher from the Ore Mountains .

He was the son of the machine embroiderer Friedrich Richard Unger from Neustädtel, where he attended community and advanced training schools. The chairman of the local Erzgebirge branch association , August Hommel, aroused his love of home early on. He did an apprenticeship at the editorial office of the Erzgebirgischer Volksfreund in Schneeberg. After completing his apprenticeship, he worked for some time in an editorial office in Heidelberg as a volunteer. When the position of the branch manager of the Erzgebirgischer Volksfreundes in Schneeberg became vacant, he returned home and took on this position for almost 40 years.

In addition to numerous clubs, he joined the Erzgebirgszweigverein in 1909 and was its organizational manager under the provisional leader Max Günther during the National Socialist era . In 1922 he helped organize the first exhibition of antiquities in Schneeberg. At the same time he was a co-founder of the local antiquity society. He joined the NSDAP early on, which he represented on the city council from 1925 on. So it is not surprising that in 1935, for example, he wrote articles such as The Erzgebirger pay homage to the Führer especially for the Erzgebirgsverein . wrote.

The Schneeberg local researcher Werner Unger was his son.
