The Curtis Peak is a 1,695 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . In the Enterprise Hills of the Heritage Range in the Ellsworth Mountains, it rises south-southeast of Chappell Peak at the northwest end of the Horseshoe Valley .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2007 after the geologist Michael L. Curtis of the British Antarctic Survey . The first ascent was made by Robert M. Kewarth and Tim Hewette on January 22, 2007.
