The Cushing Peak is a 950 m high mountain in the north of the Brabant Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It rises 2.5 km southeast of Guyou Bay at the head of the Lister Glacier .
The mountain is first recorded on an Argentine map from 1953, unnamed. Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 and 1957 were used to map the mountain in 1959. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on September 23, 1960 after Harvey Cushing (1869-1939), a US pioneer in neurosurgery .
