Ralf Nolten

Ralf Nolten (born May 19, 1964 in Winden ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Nolten was born the second of three children to a technical and a commercial employee. He grew up in Winden , a district of the Kreuzau community in the Düren district . There he attended the Catholic elementary school St. Urban. In 1983 he makes the Stiftisches school in Düren his high school . After completing his military service , he began studying agricultural sciences at the University of Bonn in Bonn in 1984 . After an internship, the main study of economics and social sciences of agriculture followed. In 1990 he became a qualified agricultural engineer . In 1997 he received his doctorate as Dr. agr. At that time he worked as a lecturer for agricultural policy and rural development at the Andreas Hermes Academy , the educational institution of the German Farmers' Association . From 2000 he returned to the University of Bonn. There he works as a research assistant , study advisor and lecturer at the Institute for Food and Resource Economics.

He is active in many local associations. Ralf Nolten has been married since 1996, has three sons and lives in Winden.

politics

In 1994 Nolten was elected to the Kreuzau municipal council. Before that, he had been a knowledgeable citizen since 1989 . Currently (2017) he is the CDU parliamentary group leader in the local council. Since 1999 he has been a member of the district council.

Nolten was elected in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 in the state constituency of Düren II - Euskirchen II with 44% of the first votes in direct elections to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He became the successor of Rolf Seel , who no longer stood for election.
