Cvetka Lipuš
Cvetka Lipuš (* 1966 in Bad Eisenkappel , Železna Kapla) is an Austrian poet.
Life
She attended the Federal High School for Slovenes in Klagenfurt and studied comparative literature and Slavic studies at the University of Klagenfurt . From 1995 she lived in the United States, where she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh to study library and information sciences. Cvetka Lipuš is the daughter of the Austrian writer Florjan Lipuš . From 1990 to 2000 she was, alongside Maja Haderlap and Fabjan Hafner , co-editor of the cultural magazine Mladje . Cvetka Lipuš has been living in Salzburg with her husband Reinhard C. Heinisch since 2009 .
The author writes in the Slovenian language. Her poems have been published in numerous anthologies and magazines. In 1986, some of her poems appeared in the anthology "Das Slovenische Wort in Kärnten / Slovenska beseda na Koroskem", which also made the German-speaking readership aware of the 19-year-old author.
She has been nominated for numerous prizes and has been awarded the Prešeren Foundation Prize, the Austrian State Scholarship for Literature and the Carinthian Promotion Prize for Literature.
